The Story

This is the story

Below you will find all of the information you need about "Clemente's Cafe".

Allow me to introduce myself

Ramon Clemente

Born and raised in Queens, New York, my roots trace back to Puerto Rico through my father’s side of the family. Both of my grandparents Ramon Jose Clemente and Carmen Sanchez Clemente were born in Carolina, Puerto Rico.

My first time setting foot on the island was in 2009, when I began my professional basketball career playing for the Mayaguez Indios. That trip changed everything. I fell in love with Puerto Rico, its energy, its culture, and its people. In 2013, I had the honor of representing the Puerto Rican National Team for nine years and playing with that flag on my chest deepened my pride and connection even more.

Beyond basketball, I’ve always believed in giving back. Whether it’s community projects or local events, taking care of my people is part of who I am.

Clemente’s Café was born out of that same spirit rooted in love, legacy, and culture. My grandmother Carmen introduced me to my first cup of coffee in Reading, Pennsylvania, and from that moment on, I was hooked.

In 2024, I had the idea to create my own coffee brand. I didn’t know where to begin, but with the help of a few good people, I found the right connection to dive deep into Puerto Rican coffee.

Now, in year 17 of my professional basketball career, Clemente’s Café is more than just coffee it’s a reflection of who I am. Every bean tells a story. Through this brand, I get to express myself and share the richness of Puerto Rico with the world.

Specialty Coffee

Oro De Santurce

The first official release from Clemente’s Café, Oro De Santurce represents more than just coffee, it’s a tribute to the streets, the spirit, and the soul of Santurce, Puerto Rico.

This 87-point specialty coffee was handpicked and roasted with pride, grown in the rich mountains of Yauco, but named to honor the art, culture, and grind of Santurce. It’s a blend of two worlds: the deep roots of Puerto Rican soil and the electric energy of the city that raised legends.

“Oro” means gold and that’s exactly what this is. A golden standard. A symbol of value, legacy, and flavor. It’s our way of putting respect on the island and showing the world what Puerto Rican coffee is really about.

Bold. Authentic. 100% Puerto Rican.

This isn’t just a coffee drop it’s a cultural drop.
